Our Programs
Empowering Communities Through TechnologyWe believe in empowering Africa’s underserved communities with the digital skills necessary to thrive in today’s economy. Through our Community Tech Centers, we are creating accessible hubs for skill development, innovation, and career growth across the continent. Our programs aim to bridge the technology gap, address high unemployment rates, and inspire a new generation of skilled professionals.
Community Tech Centers
ITAfrica’s Community Tech Centers are at the heart of our mission, providing essential resources and training for individuals seeking sustainable careers in technology. Each center is designed to support learning, innovation, and career development through:
Training Facilities
Equipped classrooms for individual and group learning sessions.
Innovation Labs
Spaces where candidates can explore emerging technologies and work on real-world projects.
Resource Libraries
Access to digital resources, tutorials, and tech tools to support continued learning.
Career Support
Assistance with job placements, resume building, and interview preparation to support our graduates.
By establishing these centers in underserved areas, we aim to make technology accessible to all and create lasting, positive impacts in each community.
Our Phased Approach
ITAfrica’s program structure is designed for sustainable growth, allowing us to expand our reach and refine our training models as we develop. Each phase reflects our commitment to scaling responsibly and maximising our impact.
Phase 1
Pilot Program (Year 1)
During our Pilot Program, launching in January 2025, we will establish our first cohort of up to 10 candidates.
Our Goals for Phase 1
1. Training for up to 10 candidates in temporary rented premises.
2. Establishing essential staff and facilities, along with an initial infrastructure setup.
3. Introducing a Research & Development (R&D) initiative to explore innovative solutions and refine our program.
Phase 2
Refine & Scale (Years 2 to 5)
Refine and scale our Community Tech Center model based on initial feedback, enhancing program offerings and resources.
Our Goals for Phase 2
1. Increasing the number of candidates and broadening digital outreach.
2. Selecting and acquiring a permanent site to establish ITAfrica’s headquarters.
3. Expanding our R&D initiative to support further innovation and growth.
Phase 3
Full-Scale Operations (Year 5+)
Kick-off the development of ITAfrica’s dedicated Technology Campus, developed in sections as the organisation grows.
Our Goals for Phase 3
1. Building the ITAfrica Technology Campus in sections to meet our expanding needs.
2. Launching at least one additional Community Tech Center per year across key regions in Africa.
3. Offering specialised training tracks in robotics, IoT, and other high-demand areas within the tech industry.
Our primary goal is to continually grow our staff and facilities to empower thousands of individuals each year through accessible, high-quality tech education.
Training and Development
Our training programs are tailored to provide practical, job-ready skills across high-demand technology fields. By equipping candidates with both foundational knowledge and specialized skills, we prepare them for various career paths in the technology sector.
Candidate Selection
We select candidates who have a basic understanding of computers and a strong interest in technology careers. Each individual’s progress is monitored through regular assessments to ensure they are gaining the skills needed for success.
Training Tracks
Digital Literacy
For those new to technology, covering essential skills in computer use, online safety, and basic digital tools.
Cybersecurity
Preparing candidates to understand and address digital security issues, with introductory training on protecting data and systems.
Programming
Introducing coding fundamentals, algorithms, and software engineering for careers in app and software development.
Web/App Development

Our curriculum is hands-on, enabling candidates to build portfolios and gain practical experience that will enhance their employability.
Tech Presenters
Our trainers, known as Tech Presenters, are essential to ITAfrica’s mission. They bring passion, knowledge, and dedication to each class, inspiring candidates to learn and grow. Tech Presenters undergo in-house training to ensure they can effectively deliver our curriculum, fostering a positive and supportive learning environment. We aim to produce many Tech Presenters who will expand our reach and deliver ITAfrica’s courses throughout Africa.

Through our programs, ITAfrica aims to make a measurable impact on both individuals and communities by:
